Welcome to the Ewin Early Learning Centre Inc (Ewin ELC). We have been providing long day care in Kununurra for over 20 years.
Our centre was purposely built in 2007 with the help and support of many including the Shire of the Wyndham East Kimberley and Lotterywest.
Our centre is community based which means we are run non-for-profit. The Ewin ELC is managed by an experienced Management Team, who is closely supported by a Board of Directors, and a team of skilled Educators and Staff.
We provide care for up to 84 children per day, within 4 different age groups. We currently have approximately 80 children who attend throughout the course of the week.
Being purpose built our centre is equipped with spacious indoor and outdoor areas.
These areas are designed and set up to provide young children with a safe and challenging environment. There are many options for children’s imagination and experimentation within our environments and they are designed in accordance with children’s developmental stages.
All families are welcome at our Centre. We are very supportive and accepting of differences within our community and all are valued by both adults and children at the centre.
Education and Care Centre’s are governed by legal, ethical and quality standards. The centre is required to meet all aspects of the National Quality Framework as set out in the Education & Care Services National Law, the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework.
Our Centre is guided by our Philosophy which highlights our values and vision and encompasses our daily practices. We have approximately 40 ‘Policies and Procedures’, all of which are followed to ensure the day to day running of the centre, and are guided by the requirements of the National Quality Framework. These policies are reviewed regularly, and are available for families to read at any time.
